Armelle Mauvais / Artiste peintre et sculpteur
The arts as a driving force!
She has always been involved in a variety of artistic pursuits, from theatre to music to the visual arts.
After completing a baccalauréat in literature and visual arts, she went on to study for a master's degree in performing arts, specialising in theatre, in order to work on the space common to these two arts: scenography.
She works as a set painter, creating small and large-scale trompe-l'œil (for businesses, local authorities and private individuals),
(Certificat de peintre en décors, Ecole Artemisia Paris).
Sculptor, with a predilection for clay, and an attraction for other types of materials. (Self-taught, with practice in Parisian artists' studios; Atelier sculpture de l'Opéra de Paris, artists Petrus, & Christian Siméon)
She is interested in the body and its expressiveness.
A keen traveller, she also enjoys photography.
She has been an art teacher for a number of years, and is now continuing her research into art and creativity in therapeutic work, in a new course at the Université Paris Cité.
She has been lucky enough to be invited to take part in group exhibitions in the Paris region and Belgium, mainly for her sculptural work.
Her decorative paintings can be seen in the streets of various towns in Seine-et-Marne.
