The Orion Star Ponies
A friendly pony club with a human dimension, a real cavalry adapted to children...
The Pony Club "Les Poneys de l'Etoile d'Orion" has moved to the Ecuries de La Brosse in Chaintreaux in April 2019. It is located on the plateau overlooking the Loing valley, 5 minutes from Souppes sur Loing and Dordives, 10 minutes from Egreville and Château Landon and 15 minutes from Nemours.
The facilities, built in a green and bucolic setting, include a very pretty stable opening onto a large courtyard, a large 90m x 50m show jumping arena, a large 75m x 40m dressage arena, a 40m x 20m riding arena, a walker, paddocks for the horses, and the edge of the forest adjacent to the paddocks.
An association under the Law of 1901, affiliated to the French Riding Federation, the Pony Club is open all year round, from Tuesday to Sunday and welcomes children from 2 ½ years old.
The teaching of horse riding, ensured by a state-qualified instructor, starts with a playful approach, to become more technical as they learn. The children evolve at their own pace in small groups of the same level, and thanks to the practice of different disciplines (baby pony, equifun, pony-games, acrobatics, driving, dressage, show jumping, competitions...).
The ponies have been chosen especially for their versatility, their kindness and their sportsmanship, to the great pleasure of our little riders. They live in the meadow during the day to relax, and at night in the stables for their well-being.
Various formulas are offered, at very attractive rates starting at 8 €: pony initiation, rides, group lessons for a fixed price or à la carte, half-day, full-day or weekly courses with federal exams, half-board on the pony club's ponies and full board for children wishing to acquire their own pony within the structure.
Numerous other activities and events are organised, particularly during the school holidays and on Sundays (treasure hunts, Christmas party, Easter egg hunt, Pony Club party, etc.).
