The "Champarts" and the "Recette" were the ancient commons of the castle.

The barn of the "Champarts" was built in XIth-XIIth centuries whereas the "Recette" was built in 1270. This house was transformed in XVth century with the construction of the attached lodging house intended for the manager of the domain. The "Recette" has a frame which has shape of a hull of ship. it was built by a burgundian carpenter of navy Grain silos always exist in its basement. The old farm of the castle always exists on this property.
When Jules Massenet (French music composer) acquired the house in 1899, he had the Champarts barn demolished, which he considered too expensive to renovate. The old walls of the barn were classified by Mrs Massenet after her husband's death. In 1989, the last heir of the Massenet family sold this property. Today, It is the principal residence of two artists: Annie Cardin, painter and Claude Bogratchew, sculptor.
