Obsonville
A bucolic place to picnic ....
Obsonville is a town built around a water point. This is why an old fort, present since 1414, was located on what is now Place du Center. Likewise, the “Chemin de Ronde” road is another witness to this fort, which has now disappeared.
The Saint-Germain church was initially built around the 12th-13th century. It was recovered from its ruins probably in the 16th century. Rectangular in shape with a steeple to the left of the nave, Obsonville Church is very simple. Inside, two tombstones are part of the paving of the nave. The first, damaged by the trampling of the faithful, represents a woman, the Lady of Obsonville. The second is that of Gilles de Sully, Lord of Obsonville from 1249 to 1258.
A pretty pond adorns the city center, next to a playground and a picnic table.
